Search the Internet for a set of instructions and classify them as technical, semi-technical, or nontechnical. Use Master Sheet 11 for specific definition and examples.

In the comments below: Explain your classification, pointing to specific words and phrases that helped you make your decision. Provide the url for the Web page so that your classmates can access the instructions.

Remember to update goodreads account to include what you are currently reading.

Monday - Listen to excerpt from Unbroken. Identify through sentence fluency groups - what author does well. Homework: Describe one bad habit you have. Why is it bad? Why do you do it? 150-250 words. Goodreads is a graded assignment.

Tuesday - Practice ACT information. Sentence fluency idea from article returned. Practice and apply the idea. Update learning goal.

Wednesday - Excerpt from James Earl Jones memoir. What does he do well as it applies to structure and length of sentences. Homework:  Write about something you collect - how and why do you collect it? How do you store it? What does it say about you? 150-250 words.

Thursday - Article on tips for writing college application essays.

Remember: Reading book daily!

Monday - Pre Assessment writing returned with Sentence Fluency rubric. Create Learning goal for Sentence Fluency based on score received on rubric. Homework: Read and highlight Sentence Fluency article based on learning goal.

Tuesday - Introduction to learning goal group - grammar trivia. Share goal and highlighted elements from homework.

Wednesday - Memoir definition. Excerpt from Glass Castle. Receive and decorate writing notebook. Homework: update what you are currently reading on www.goodreads.com.

Thursday - What is truth? Answer and discuss. Homework: 100 words on Choose a color-list memories connected with that color.

Friday - Reread color entry, underline one idea. Rewrite in class. Sentence fluency groups - identify a sentence to improve - scale self and put on learning goal.
