Tuesday - 1st and 2nd hour exams; full day of school
Wednesday - 3rd and 4th hour exams; full day of school
Thursday - 5th and 6th hour exams; dismiss at 11:00
Friday - 7th and 8th hour exams; dismiss at 11:00
English 11 exam will contain:
1. Online testing through Schoolnet. There are 9 questions; two are short answer. The majority of the questions deal with Theme and Central Idea.
2. Book Review - using a book that you finished last semester, student will write a review. Students are encouraged to bring the book with them to the exam so they may use it to write the review. Otherwise, students should bring the author and title of the book.
3. There will be two samples of Satire that students will need to find the different satirical literary devices and identify theme, central idea, and human vice
4. Students will complete a post self-evaluation for the Satire unit as well as write a short response providing specific information that they learned during the unit.
Students are encouraged to bring their single subject notebook as well as their binders to the exam. They will be able to use any materials that they have been given to complete the exam.
