5th, 7th, 8th hour - Satire introduction and vocabulary
STUDENTS WILL NEED TO BRING HEADPHONES FOR THE REMAINDER OF THE WEEK!
Tuesday/Wednesday - Hyperbole/Understatement word list; Irony notes on The Oatmeal. Work with partner to find irony examples. Individually, identify an example and provide an explanation to submit on Google Classroom.
Thursday/Friday - Sarcasm vs Irony. What is Satire? Work through examples of satire, types of figurative language.
